Inter goalkeeper Francesco Toldo has expressed his disappointment at being left out of the starting line up by coach Roberto Mancini in the early stages of the season.

Young Brazilian Julio Cesar has been preferred to Toldo, and the Italian veteran feels he has been treated unfairly.

"At the beginning of the season they told me other things," Toldo, who has yet to play a single game this season, complained.

"Last season I won Serie A as regular keeper. I slogged for years, I gave up the national team for Inter," he added.

"If Inter had warned me about this situation I'd have had other choices."

The keeper also believes his lack of opportunities at club level will limit his chances of a recall to the national team.

"If I don't play then I can't show my value."

"I don't feel myself less than Julio Cesar. He's young. In the past to become Inter keeper experience was needed," Toldo sighed.
