Fiorentina are set to make an official offer for Internazionale's Marco Materazzi.
Fiorentina and Materazzi himself are open to the idea of the transfer, despite the fact that the Italian has flown out with the Internazionale squad to Sardinia for pre-season training.
Materazzi said: "Many teams are interested in me and I'm happy - it means I did good things."
The tall centre back appears to be out of coach Roberto Mancini's plans for the new season, prompting the interest of Fiorentina.
And Materazzi is confident that his situation will be resolved, saying: "My future? I'll go to the summer camp with Inter and I'll talk with Mancini. We will see his choices and the opportunities. A solution will be found."
Fiorentina are hoping to bolster their defence with the capture of Materazzi, after they struggled against relegation all of last season.
