Roma have dismissed reports that Cristian Chivu could leave Stadio Olimpico in the summer.
The Romanian defender has become a target for both Internazionale and Juventus, who are both keen to bolster their defences in the summer.
The Giallorossi have been struggling this season and Chivu's desire to try and win trophies could see him want a move away from Rome.
However, the club have insisted that Chivu will be staying as an essential part of their squad rebuilding for next season.
Roma's plans for strengthening could well depend on where they finish in the league, however, as a dreadful run of form could still lead to relegation.
They are just three points out of the drop zone with two games to play, after a run of just three points from their last 11 games.
Roma last won in Serie A on February 20 and Chivu will not be the only player looking to leave should the unthinkable happen and Roma go down.
