Chilean striker Mauricio Pinilla has ended his miserable spell in Italy by signing for Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
Pinilla moved to Serie A last summer and was jointly owned by Internazionale and Chievo Verona.
But he failed to make the breakthrough expected of him in Italy and he was shipped out to Celta Vigo on loan for the second half of last season.
He did not sparkle in Spain, either, while his turbulent year continued when injury forced him to miss Chile's Copa America challenge.
Pinilla, however, has now managed to secure a switch away from Serie A after accepting the offer from Sporting.
The Portuguese side struck an accord with Inter and Chievo and the South American forward has signed a four-year contract with the Lisbon club.
