Matias Almeyda could be reunited with former team-mate Luigi Di Biagio at Brescia, after being released by Internazionale this summer.
The Argentine midfielder is a free agent, and seeking a new club for the coming season.
Almeyda insists that Brescia would be his primary option, with Di Biagio convincing him that it would be an ideal destination.
"Brescia are my first choice," said Almeyda. "I've spoken with the club and I like their plans.
"My wish is to go to Brescia. Di Biagio has been enthusiastic about the club and the city."
