Internazionale striker Alvaro Recoba has had his two-game ban reduced on appeal by the Italian Disciplinary Commission.

The Uruguayan striker will now only serve a one-match suspension for an altercation with Markus Schopp in last weekend's home defeat by Brescia.

Recoba was not sent off in the game, but television pictures showed him grabbing Schopp by the neck for which he was subsequently cited.

However, Inter's appeal against Dejan Stankovic's dismissal for serious foul play was unsuccessful and the Serbian will now have to serve a two-game ban.
