Dejan Stankovic is glad he has got a second chance to work with Alberto Zaccheroni.
The midfielder moved to Internazionale in the January transfer window and is once again working with the man who used to coach him at Lazio.
The pair enjoyed a successful spell together in Rome and are hoping to help push the Nerazzurri to success at the end of a turbulent season for the club.
"I've thanked Zaccheroni in the past because when he arrived at Lazio, it started a positive period in my career," he explained to Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I now hope that my arrival at Inter can coincide with a period of success. I'd be happy with the Coppa Italia or Uefa Cup this year then maybe Scudetto or Champions League glory the season after."
Stankovic admits he is still settling in to life at Inter after a whirlwind transfer saga.
"I will remember the transfer to Inter for as long as I live," stated the Serbian.
"On the Friday I was thinking about Lazio v Sampdoria and then on Saturday I was getting prepared for Inter v Siena.
He added: "It was an incredible thing."
