INTERNAZIONALE have rejected reports they are planning to sell Alvaro Recoba and bring in Dejan Stankovic when the transfer window reopens in January.

Reports in Italy have suggested that Inter were preparing a move for Lazio ace Stankovic, who is stalling over a new deal at Stadio Olimpico, and that they were ready to let Recoba go in a bid to free up a place in the side for the Serbo-Montenegrin.

Inter technical director Marco Branca has refuted the suggestions and insists they have no plans for any transfer moves in January.

"We are just concentrating on the players that we already have, whom we have great faith in," said Branca.

"We want to just focus on the season ahead without any distracting talk surrounding the transfer market.

"If Lazio want to talk about it, the responsibility is just their one."

A number of English clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked with Recoba, but Branca insists he is going nowhere.

"He won't leave us," added Branca.

Branca also revealed that Adriano will definitely return to the club next season after his loan spell at Parma despite reports to the contrary.

"Adriano will play with Inter next season," insisted Branca. "But it's right now he talks only of Parma."
