Zanetti's Scudetto cry

INTERNAZIONALE captain Javier Zanetti admits it is about time the Nerazzurri brought the Scudetto back to Giuseppe Meazza.

Zanetti has been with Inter since 1994 and is widely regarded as one of the best foreign players to have graced Serie A but says the players must end the club's quest to land the championship they have not won for over a decade.

"One time we should do the jump of quality we are required to," said the Argentine. "It's true there's a little margin we have got to improve on after reaching the semis in the Champions League, but everyone in the squad is hungry for a title."

Danish utility man Thomas Helveg and Senegalese ace Khalilou Fadiga are among the latest signings to join Hector Cuper's side, although latest reports suggest the African star has failed a medical.

Zanetti though says the squad are preparing to welcome Fadiga, as he believes new tests will prove initial findings to be wrong.

"We consider Fadiga as part of our group and we all wish the new tests reveal it was just a bad moment and a false alarm," Zanetti concluded.
