STEPHANE DALMAT is threatening the deal to take him and Giovanni Pasquale to Lazio on loan for next term, according to reports in Italy, with the player not keen on the switch.

The Frenchman is reportedly unwilling to make a move to Rome in case the move does not work out for him, leaving him an outcast at Internazionale.

Lazio's Giuseppe Favalli was due to make a move in the opposite direction but another snag emerged in the deal on Friday with Roberto Mancini's declaration that he wants to assess the transfer climate before giving his blessing to Favalli leaving Stadio Olimpico.

"Before giving my consent to Favalli's transfer, I want to see what the general situation is with the transfer market," said Mancini.

"I have to prepare for a Champions League preliminary match (Benfica) and I can't wait around all my life for the arrival of certain players.

"Everything can oblige us considering the other negotiations, the one with Inter too.

"This doesn't mean I don't agree with Favalli's transfer, also because I know he wants to leave.

"But before personal issues, there are team ones. We have to reflect before selling a player like Favalli."

If the deal should fall through, Inter could re-open negotiations with Chievo for Salvatore Lanna, whom they tried to exchange with Azzurri stopper Pasquale just a few weeks ago.
