CHIEVO defender Nicola Legrottaglie is being targeted by a number of top Italian clubs.
The 26-year-old has made it clear that he wants to move to a top club, after an excellent couple of seasons with The Flying Donkeys.
Now it seems as though three or four teams are interested in securing his signature.
He has already been linked with a switch to Roma and now it appears that Juventus, Internazionale and Milan are all interested in a possible transfer.
Chievo general manager Luigi Sartori said: "For the moment we haven't really begun negotiations with anyone.
"For this reason we are still listening to everyone and then we'll decide. I have to meet (Franco) Baldini (Roma general manager) in the next few hours.
"We have different things to talk about, starting with (Cristiano) Lupatelli. Anyway, about Legrottaglie, we have clear ideas and I confirm we haven't yet received a satisfactory offer."
"If one doesn't arrive, we'll keep him with us."
Sartori also confirmed that his club would be looking for a player to replace Legrottaglie, but said he was aware of his club's status in the transfer market.
He added: "We don't ask important players because they have too high salaries. We prefer interesting young ones. Probably De Rossi, but I don't know if Roma want to lose him."
Baldini confirmed during a radio interview that he was still hopeful of landing the Chievo defender.
He said: "I know Chievo and Juventus have spoken about this player.
"We can still get Legrottaglie but we have to be quick. I'll meet Chievo's representatives soon. We have a few situations to discuss, for example Lupatelli's."
