LAZIO boss Roberto Mancini has admitted that he is disappointed to have lost a three-goal lead against Internazionale, believing Emre's goal was the turning point before half time.

Inter showed all their quality and confidence to claim a draw from the game, and must now believe they have the attitudes to take the title.

Mancini admits that you cannot lose such a big lead - but that he is proud of the effort.

"Our mistake was not clinging on to our three-goal lead until half time," said Mancini.

"We could have stopped Emre before he got into the penalty area.

"I don't know if a draw is the fair result. But we paid heavily for our mistakes.

"There is a lot of regret, but we also showed our quality."

An understandably buoyed Hector Cuper, must have been dreading a big defeat - but instead watched his side rescue a share of the points.

"We showed great character," Cuper enthused. "I liked the fact we recovered our composure despite going three goals down.

"Emre is a vital player for us. Especially when he plays in midfield and is in an inventive frame of mind."
