UDINESE'S David Pizarro has admitted that he is flattered by interest being shown in him by Internazionale.

The Chilean midfielder is now in his fourth season with Udinese, but only his second as a first team regular.

His performances in Italy's top-flight are now beginning to bring him to the attention of some of Serie A's biggest outfits.

The Valparaiso-born star admitted that Inter's interest gives him even more encouragement to do well.

"I am surprised, this information super motivates me," said Pizzaro.

"It's good for a player to be in the plans of such important teams like Inter. In the meantime, I am here in Udinese trying to make this team respected by everyone."

"Since I have arrived in Italy in 1999 I have learnt many things. Everyone knows that I am a defensive midfielder but I am improving even in that position.

"Last Sunday I stole a ball that then ended in our second for defeating 2-1 Chievo Verona."
