INTERNAZIONALE have been rocked by the news that key defender Marco Materazzi sustained an injury in the 2-2 draw against Roma.
With the Milan derby fast approaching Inter were hopeful of fielding a full-strength side, but Materazzi has sprained an ankle and is a major doubt.
This could be the most significant Milan derby for years with both clubs still involved in the title chase.
Inter let the title slip through their grasp on the final day of last season and are determined to go one better this term, whilst Milan have been one of the most impressive sides in the European Cup this year.
Although a final diagnosis has yet to be made on Materazzi, the former Everton man is not likely to be fit in time for the clash.
