INTERNAZIONALE goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has admitted that he is in talks with Lazio over a possible move to the Stadio Olimpico in the summer.

The highly-rated shot-stopper had attracted the interest of the Italian champions in the summer before they decided to sign Inter's Angelo Peruzzi instead.

Frey has been in outstanding form for Inter this term and he has established himself as first-choice keeper at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium this season ahead of Marco Ballota, who moved to Inter as part of the deal that took Peruzzi to Lazio.

Peruzzi has been in and out of the Lazio side this season, as he has struggled with a number of niggling injuries and his number two, Luca Marchegiani, is coming to the end of his career.

Lazio president Sergio Cragnotti is determined to strengthen the squad for next season as they prepare to challenge for honours at home and abroad, and Frey is viewed as a key signing for the future.

The French Under-21 international, who only moved back to the Giuseppe Meazza at the start of the season after impressing on-loan at Verona, has admitted that he wants to play for a club challenging for honours and if that is not Inter he will move on.

The former Cannes star revealed that he would decide his future in the summer and that all he was concentrating on was ending the season on a high for Inter.

"Now I want to end the season in a good way with Inter," said Frey. "Concerning Lazio's interest, my agents are in talks with the Roman club.

"I have a contract with Inter, and I have only Inter in my mind, but after the season I will have to talk with the club.

"I want to play in a team that can fight for Lo Scudetto and I know (club president Massimo) Moratti wants the same."
