Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto will leave the Florence outfit this summer after turning down a three-year contract extension.

The 25-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper, who is a reported target of Liverpool and Roma, has rejected Fiorentina's offer of a new contract and will leave in June, when his current deal runs out.

"This situation has deeply hurt me on a human level and I'm left with a profound sense of bitterness," Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle told his club's official website. "I'm well aware that these things often happen in football but I'm struggling to accept it."

Neto joined Fiorentina from Atletico Paranaense back in 2011 and has started in 16 of La Viola's 17 Serie A games this season.

The South American did not start a Serie A match for Fiorentina for the first time this season in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Parma.

Fiorentina are ninth in the standings and host Palermo on Sunday.

The Viola, coached by Vincenzo Montella, are also in the Coppa Italia and will take on Tottenham in the last 32 of the Europa League.
