Zdenek Zeman's days as Cagliari coach appear to be numbered with the Serie A strugglers reportedly set to part company with the Czech.

Cagliari have not won a league game since October 25 and last week's 3-1 defeat to Juventus, their eighth loss of the campaign, dropped the Rossoblu to 18th place, three points adrift of safety.

Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Sardinian club will make a coaching change during the winter break with former player Gianfranco Zola strongly linked to succeed Zeman.

The 67-year-old Zeman, who has coached 18 Italian clubs in his career, has failed to make an impact since joining Cagliari in the summer.

Cagliari have won two games all season and have yet to come out triumphant at home in Serie A.

Sardinian-born Zola has been out of coaching since resigning as Watford manager in December 2013.
