Bologna have confirmed Alessandro Diamanti has agreed to join Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande.
Guangzhou Evergrande, who are managed by former Italy and Juventus boss Marcello Lippi, have been linked with a move for Diamanti for some time and now a deal has been agreed between both clubs.
A Bologna statement read: "Bologna announces that it has reached an agreement with Guangzhou Evergrande for the permanent transfer of Alessandro Diamanti."
Former West Ham forward Diamanti is expected to sign a three-year deal with Guangzhou and the player is looking forward to his new challenge in China.
"I am pleased to be able to start with my family this new adventure," Diamanti has stated in reaction.
"I thank the whole club and especially the city of Bologna, which has made me feel important on and off the field."
