Parma's general director Pietro Leonardi says centre-back Gabriel Paletta will stay at Parma in this transfer window.
The former Liverpool player was rumoured to be linked with a move to Roma.
The Argentine established himself as a regular at Parma since his move from Boca Juniors in 2010.
However, the 27-year-old has only made seven appearances for Parma this season due to injury.
Parma's general director Pietro Leonardi told Italian radio broadcasters, Radio Radio: "Paletta isn't going to Roma, he is staying in Parma and we will tightly keep hold of him.
"He has not played much so far and he will be better in the second half of the season. We never spoke to Roma about him and they didn't ask us about him. I repeat that he remains in Parma."
