AC Milan's new signing, Keisuke Honda, will wear the No.10 shirt for the Rossoneri when he joins from CSKA Moscow in January.
Milan vice-president, Adriano Galliani, announced on Wednesday that Honda would be joining the club, and has now announced his squad number.
He follows a series of high-profile Milan No.10s, a shirt that is highly regarded by the club's fans, including Ruud Gullit, Rui Costa and Clarence Seedorf.
His predecessor in that line of players was Kevin-Prince Boateng, who left for Schalke in the summer, leaving Honda's preferred number available for him.
Honda will join on a free transfer but has become one of the game's most sought-after talents since joining CSKA Moscow in 2010.
Galliani said: "He will wear jersey No. 10. He asked us for it and we've made him happy.
"We consider him a really big player."
