Sydney FC star Alessandro Del Piero has quashed reports he is looking for a move back to Italy in the January transfer window.
The 39-year-old first fuelled the rumours when he bizarrely substituted himself just before half-time in Sydney's 2-0 win over Newcastle Jets last month.
Since then, the club continued having trouble convincing him to commit to community events such as school clinics and sponsor events, suggesting that the Italian legend could be on is way out.
However, the former Juventus star sent a clear message to the media saying he is fully committed to the Sky Blues.
"I'm happy here," Del Piero told Australian reporters.
"I'm focused about this season with Sydney and I don't have other thoughts about other teams at the moment.
"For me the future is here until the end of the season, and this for me is only rumours."
The forward has scored three goals in seven games this season but missed last weekend's fixture with a hamstring strain.
