Catania coach Luigi De Canio has claimed that he is not feeling the heat despite his side's dismal run of form.
The Sicilians lost 2-0 at Sampdoria to record their third straight league defeat and remain rooted at the bottom of the Serie A table.
"Of course I cannot be happy or serene," De Canio said to Gazzetta dello Sport. "Defeats don't help the team grow.
"However, I don't feel under pressure and if I felt my job was on the line then I wouldn't do this job.
"I feel I have the backing of the club and the confidence of my team."
Since replacing Rolando Maran on October 20 at the helm of Catania, De Canio has guided the islanders to just one win in seven league games.
Catania are five points adrift of safety and host Hellas Verona on Saturday.
