Juventus defender Martin Caceres is set to undergo further scans to determine the extent of a knee injury suffered on international duty.
Caceres damaged his meniscus during Uruguay's World Cup qualifier against Peru at the weekend and he is travelling back to Italy for further assessment on the injury.
Reports suggest that Caceres is facing a month on the sidelines and is waiting to learn whether he will require surgery on the problem.
He is likely to miss Saturday's big Serie A game away to Inter Milan and also next week's opening UEFA Champions League group fixture at FC Copenhagen.
Juventus are also waiting to assess the damage suffered by striker Mirko Vucinic during Montenegro's 1-1 draw with Poland last Friday.
Vucinic was forced off during the first half in Warsaw due to a muscular injury and he is a major doubt for the match against Inter.
