Alessandro Diamanti has revealed that he is poised to pen an extension to his current contract at Bologna.
The Italy international has spent the last two years with the Rossoblu and claims he could not be any happier.
The former West Ham United midfielder is now 30 years of age, but is looking forward to many more years of competing at the highest level.
He believes he can do that at Bologna and had no hesitation in agreeing to fresh terms when the opportunity arose.
Diamanti said: "My deal? Everyone wanted the same thing: me, the club, the town.
"It's almost sorted and during the week we will sign the new deal.
"I will bind myself to Bologna for many years.
"Achieving stability with this side is like getting into the Champions League elsewhere."
