Torino are planning to discuss the future of Angelo Ogbonna in the summer, as reports link him with a move to England.
The 24-year-old defender is believed to be a target for Manchester United, with the Red Devils of the opinion that he could be a long-term replacement for Rio Ferdinand.
Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are already on the books at Old Trafford, but Sir Alex Ferguson is a manager who likes to have a number of options available to him.
Torino are aware that the lure of the Premier League could prove too great, and that a product of their academy system could be prised from their grasp.
They are, however, hoping to avoid such an occurrence and intend to hold discussions regarding a contract extension at the end of the season.
"A lot of clubs are still very interested in Ogbonna," Torino chairman Urbano Cairo told Tuttosport.
"In June we'll sit down and evaluate together what to do next. Maybe he'll have a desire to stay here for a bit longer."
