Alessandro Del Piero has rubbished suggestions that he could make a shock exit from A-League side Sydney FC, following a string of poor results.
The former Juventus and Italy legend, who is currently nursing a corked calf and Achilles problem, only moved to Australia in the summer.
However, the 38-year-old has found it difficult adapting to life at his new club and is already the most fouled player in the division.
Head coach Frank Farina has blamed the hatchet men for making life difficult for Del Piero with the club sitting bottom of the standings with 13 points from their opening 14 games.
But the player has come out and declared his intentions to stay and help Sydney FC climb the table.
He told Sky Italia: "These are only rumours about me which have built up after a few negative results.
"The situation is clear and simple really. I have come to Australia and fully intend to remain here for the next two years, then we will see what will happen."
