AC Milan's Mbaye Niang confirmed that Everton had a bid for him rejected by the club, and insisted he is more than happy to stay in Italy.

Niang only moved to the San Siro in the summer from French side Caen, but Everton made a move to take the 17-year-old to England, most likely on-loan, to give him a better chance of first-team action.

However, after scoring his first goal for the Rossoneri in their Coppa Italia match against Reggina, becoming Milan's second-youngest scorer ever in the process, Niang admitted he is happy where he is.

"I was pleased that the club don't consider me on the market, and they have rejected offers from Everton and Tranzonspor," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"AC Milan have immediately showed great trust in me."
