Kolarov wanted by Inter

Inter's sporting director has confirmed the club are targeting Man City's Aleksandar Kolarov, but Mario Balotelli is not in their plans.

Nerazzurri chief insists re-signing Balotelli is not in their plans

Inter Milan sporting director Marco Branca has confirmed the club are targeting Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov, but has reiterated his team-mate Mario Balotelli is not in their plans. Both players have been linked with moves away from City in the summer, with manager Roberto Mancini admitting he will "probably" sell Balotelli following a string of controversies both on and off the pitch. The Italian striker has been linked with a return to his former club Inter, who sold him to City for a reported £23million fee in the summer of 2010, but president Massimo Moratti has denied the 21-year-old is a target. Branca has echoed his comments but admits the Serie A giants are interested in signing Serbian full-back Kolarov. The 26-year-old has made just nine Premier League starts for City this season after struggling to displace Gael Clichy in Mancini's first team. "Kolarov is a player that interests us, it's true," Branca told FC Inter News. "We can move on this issue at the end of the season. Balotelli? He is good but not in our plans."
