Inter supremo is pleased with striker's recent performances

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has admitted that he would like to bring Mario Balotelli back to the club but concedes that this is unlikely to happen in the foreseeable future. Balotelli left the Italian giants for Manchester City in the summer of 2010 and after a difficult debut season in the English top-flight is now starting to find his feet. The 21-year-old bagged a brace against Manchester United at Old Trafford in City's 6-1 victory in the Premier League in October and scored his first goal for Italy in the Azzurri's 2-0 away win against Poland in a friendly international on Friday. Nerazzurri coach Claudio Ranieri said on Monday that he would "welcome Balotelli with open arms" and now club supremo Moratti has stated his desire to see the Italian back at Giuseppe Meazza. "If the possibility [to sign Balotelli] were there I'd take him tomorrow morning," the Italian is quoted as saying on Inter's official website. "I've always highly regarded Mario, but it seems to me that his experience in England with Mancini is going very well. "Of course, it was just a joke, the kind you make when you speak of these kinds of excellent players. "But I don't know. I don't think so. That year certain things happened that made it hard to keep him."
