Walter Samuel has been ruled out of Inter Milan's UEFA Champions League clash with Lille.
The Argentina international defender picked up a thigh injury in the shock weekend defeat to Catania.
The injury is not thought to be serious, but Samuel has been left out of the squad for the trip to France as a precaution.
Inter have endured a miserable start to the season with the side currently languishing in 17th spot in Serie A, but Inter captain Javier Zanetti has called on everyone connected with the club to stay united.
"We're disappointed and just as bitter as the fans are, but we've got to stay united and bounce back, because this squad still has a lot to offer," he said.
