Striker could rejoin club following Inter Milan release

Cagliari president Massimo Cellino has hinted at a possible return for striker David Suazo this summer after he was released by Inter Milan. The Honduran departed Cagliari for the San Siro in 2007 after eight years at the Sardinian side, but failed to make an impact with the Nerazzurri. After being sent out on loan stints to Benfica and Genoa during his second and third seasons at Inter, Suazo failed to make a single appearance last term. The 31-year-old is now a free agent after the Serie A giants decided not to offer him an extension on his deal. Rossoblu chief Cellino has not ruled out bringing him back to the Stadio Saint'Elia to revive his career. "It would be right to give him another chance to allow him to show that he can still play," said Cellino. "It's not a gamble, but a deserved act to repay him for what he has done in the past with us. "He arrives on the back of two difficult seasons, but he's a good player. "
