Newly-promoted Serie A club Siena have admitted they do not expect to be successful in their pursuit of Bari goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet.
Siena are looking for reinforcements after finishing second in Serie B and have made signing a new keeper one of their top priorities.
Gillet has been identified as a target and is expected to leave Bari following their relegation from the top flight, but Siena believe he will go elsewhere.
"We like the player, but I don't think he will come," sporting director Giorgio Perinetti told Sportitalia.
"I believe that he will end up at either Bologna or at Torino, given that Toro boss Giampiero Ventura has specifically requested him."
