European-chasing Juventus have suffered a blow with the news that striker Vincenzo Iaquinta will miss the remainder of the season.
The 31-year-old suffered the injury in Thursday's training session and tests have now confirmed a muscular lesion in his left thigh.
Juventus are currently seventh in the Serie A table with nine games left and coach Luigi Del Neri can ill-afford the loss of Iaquinta.
Del Neri already has a busy treatment room with the likes of Leandro Rinaudo, Mohamed Sissoko and Fabio Quagliarella out of action.
"Iaquinta will be sidelined for at least three months, hence, his season can be considered over," read a statement from Juventus.
Iaquinta has scored four goals in 19 Serie A appearances for Juve this campaign.
