Roma defender Philippe Mexes has reiterated he is in no hurry to renew his contract at the Serie A club.
The 28-year-old Frenchman, who arrived at Roma from Auxerre in 2004, is out of contract at the end of the season and says he has met with the club's president Rosella Sensi over extending his deal.
But Mexes insists his football currently takes top priority, and has no concerns over his future at the Stadio Olimpico.
"I met the president Rosella Sensi, but right now my future is of secondary importance," said Mexes.
"For now I just think of the football game and doing my best on the field, then we'll see.
"There is time (for it) and a renewal is important for both Roma and me.
"Let's think what would happen if I got injured. There are many evaluations to do, even if I feel good at the moment."
