"Dzeko is one of the best strikers in the world and I would be happy to play alongside him for a long time, but I know Edin has an option to move to Juventus in the summer."
Diego Quotes of the week

Dzeko, who was strongly tipped to join the Bianconeri in the summer, has made a strong start to the Bundesliga season, scoring five goals in the opening eight matches.

Despite Dzeko declaring his desire to remain at Wolfsburg, Diego feels that his move to Italy is an inevitable one.

"Dzeko is one of the best strikers in the world and I would be happy to play alongside him for a long time, but I know Edin has an option to move to Juventus in the summer," Diego told beyondthepitch.

"And I think that things will go just in this way.

"In this case I wish him good luck since now."

Dzeko's agent Irfan Redzepagic ruled out the chance of a move in January, whilst he also made it clear that he has not been in talks with Juventus recently.

"Dzeko to Juventus? I haven't heard about any of this," Redzepagic told tuttomercatoweb.

"I hears (Juventus' sporting director, Giuseppe) Marotta about four months ago, but since then I haven't had any contact with them."

And in response to Diego's comments, Redzepagic added: "I don't know, I can say that in January certainly Dzeko won't move. In June we will see, for now he is only thinking about doing well at Wolfsburg."
