Former West Ham player Luis Jimenez has joined newly-promoted Cesena on a season-long loan deal.
Jimenez had been facing an uncertain future after third division side Ternana secured his rights at an auction earlier in the summer.
Ternana had previously co-owned his rights along with Inter Milan, who loaned the 26-year-old out to West Ham last June.
Jimenez struggled to make an impact during his time at Upton Park and endured a similarly frustrating spell with Parma during the second half of the campaign.
The Chilean forward will now be looking to resurrect his career after a difficult 12 months and help Cesena stay in Serie A.
Cesena have also snapped up Croatian striker Igor Budan on a season-long loan deal from Palermo.
Budan has fallen down the pecking order in Sicily and has been allowed to go out in an effort to get more regular football.
