Genoa winger Giuseppe Sculli has paid tribute to the club and the fans as he looks to secure a dream move to Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri have stepped up their pursuit of new signings after selling Mario Balotelli to Manchester City last Friday.
Sculli is now expected to join Inter on a three-year contract for a fee reported to be in the region of €5million (£4.1m).
He is looking forward to embarking on a new challenge but remains grateful to Genoa for everything they have done for him.
"I feel obliged to thank everyone," the 29-year-old told Sky Italia. "The fans, the club which has always believed in me and of course my team-mates.
"All of them have been important to me over these years and I thank him very much."
"I have experienced something wonderful and Inter would be the culmination of a dream, they are the best team in the world.
"Even my mates are happy for me because I have the opportunity to wear such a prestigious jersey."
