AC Milan have sealed the signing defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Genoa.
The Greek centre-back, who played in two of his country's group games at the World Cup, has made over 50 appearances for Genoa since joining in 2008 from AEK Athens.
The 22-year-old is reported to have moved for around 5million euros, with a series of Milan players moving the other way.
The Rossoneri have confirmed Gianmarco Zigoni, Nnamdi Oduamadi and Rodney Strasser have gone the other way in a co-ownership deal as part of the transfer.
"I will find a great group where I will have to integrate myself well. I am a central defender, but I can also play on the flanks," Papastathopoulos told La Gazzetta dello Sport
"I think the greatest players I have seen are Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta. But if I was to say I was ready to inspire myself to them it would be presumptous.
"I am very happy to be here as I am in one of the best teams in the world."
