Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey is expected to remain with the Italian club despite reports of interest from elsewhere.
The Frenchman has been at the Artemio Franchi since moving from Parma on an initial loan deal in 2005.
He signed permanently the following year and has continued to be a mainstay of the side, while he remains contracted to Fiorentina until 2013.
Speculation has nevertheless surfaced suggesting that he could be set to embark on a new challenge, with Aston Villa rumoured to be plotting a summer swoop.
However, Frey's agent Carlo Pallavicino says his client still enjoys life at Fiorentina and doubts whether the club would let him go.
"Frey? I think he will end up staying and I have faith that he will remain with the Viola permanently," he told Radio Blu.
"He is happy in Florence. This has become his city. The ambition is there, and the club wants to win.
"It would be hard to replace him, even though there are many good goalkeepers. But Frey offers security."
