Maicon's agent has insisted the Brazilian is happy at Inter Milan and that his future does not depend on whether Jose Mourinho stays as manager.
The 28-year-old right-back has been linked with a move away from Inter and a number of Europe's top clubs are understood to be interested.
Real Madrid and Manchester City are among those thought to be monitoring Maicon's situation.
Speculation has suggested that he would be more likely to leave the Giuseppe Meazza if Mourinho was no longer in charge, with the Portuguese tactician also connected with other clubs.
But Maicon's representative Antonio Caliendo has stressed that his client is enjoying life at Inter and has no intention of leaving.
Caliendo accepts that it would be wrong to completely rule out a move but he does not expect Maicon to go anywhere this summer.
"He's very good and well at Inter Milan, he has found a great president, a coach who loves him and even the wife is happy in Milan," Caliendo told Sky Italia.
"Any decision of Maicon will be independent from the future of Mourinho
"But in football you can never take a definitive position."
