Philippe Mexes' agent has played down reports that the defender is looking to leave Roma.
The Frenchman's future has been the subject of conjecture since last summer and speculation continues to suggest that he could move on when the transfer window reopens.
However, his representative Olivier Jouanneaux says the 27-year-old is concentrating solely on performing as well as he can for Roma.
"Philippe is fine both at the club and living in Rome," Jouanneaux told calciomercato.com.
"He is focused on the current season and doesn't follow the market rumours. He thinks only about contributing to the team."
Mexes has less than 18 months remaining on his current contract but Jouanneaux insists negotiations over a new deal are planned.
"About the renewal, the club is doing things in order," explained the agent.
"Now they are dealing with players whose contracts expire in June, and when such operations are concluded, we will meet with the club to define together the future of Mexes.
"The relationship between the player and the management is excellent."
