Cristian Ledesma's agent still hopes the Lazio midfielder will join Inter Milan despite admitting there are obstacles blocking a move.
A transfer had been expected to happen after Ledesma's dispute with Lazio was heard by an arbitration panel earlier this week.
However, the Argentine's request to have his contract cancelled was surprisingly rejected and as such he had to stay with Lazio.
Inter could then have opened official talks with Lazio but there have been no developments as yet and Nerazzurri owner Massimo Moratti admitted he would wait until the summer.
Ledesma's representative Vincenzo D'Ippolito concedes the outlook is bleak with regard to an immediate switch but feels it could still go ahead if Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito can reach a compromise with Moratti.
"There are again problems to overcome," D'Ippolito told lalaziosiamonoi.it.
"Nothing is completely done between Inter and Lazio.
"Let's hope the situation can be unblocked in the league council when Lotito and Moratti will talk.
"Everything is up to Lotito, but we are interested only in joining Inter."
