Brazilian winger will not be moving to France

Ligue 1 giants Marseille have abandoned their efforts to sign Inter Milan midfielder Mancini. The French side had been hoping to take the Brazilian on loan until the end of the season. With Mancini struggling for games in Milan they felt that their offer would appeal to the South American winger. However, protracted discussions involving the player, representatives and both clubs have failed to produce an agreement. Marseille are now looking to turn their attentions elsewhere, with club president Jean-Claude Dassier admitting that the Mancini deal is dead. "We have turned the page and that is that," he said. "The player does not seem to know what he wants. "Mancini and his agent have shown no courtesy and have disrespected us. "Marseille laid down the rules and we did everything we could. For us, this ends here."
