Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi has denied claims he is set to leave the Italian capital for Zenit St Petersburg.
The veteran striker, 32, has been at the club since 2004 and former Roma boss Luciano Spalletti, now in charge of Zenit, is thought to be keen.
Rocchi admits his is aware there has been contact from Russia, but insists he intends to finish his career at the Stadio Olimpico.
"I never thought of going away and I never asked him at the club. I'm here for six years and I want to finish my career here," he told Sky Sports Italia.
"The phone call from Zenit and Spalletti has arrived, it is normal that a team can affect a player.
"But with Zenit St Petersburg there was nothing else. There was no conversation between the clubs and I think only at Lazio."
The forward preferred, instead, to speak of his desire to see his own team invest in the January transfer window.
He added: "We are in an important and delicate moment of the season, we have to do well. I believe that Lazio must reinforce on the market."
