Inter boss looking for Eto'o cover

Jose Mourinho has revealed he will look to bolster his attacking options in the January transfer window. Inter Milan will lose Samuel Eto'o to the African Cup of Nations in the New Year and Mourinho believes that will leave him short of strikers. He is therefore keen to bring in a new forward to cover for Eto'o during a crucial stage of the season. "Considering we will lose Eto'o for a month-and-a-half, I would like a striker in January," Mourinho told reporters.

Quality

Lazio's Goran Pandev and Luca Toni of Bayern Munich, both out of favour with their respective clubs, have been linked with winter moves to Inter. Mourinho admires the pair but admits it would be difficult to sign either man. "It's impossible that in a given player you have all the qualities that we need," Mourinho explained. "Pandev is not Toni in the area but Toni is not Pandev in terms of speed and creativity. "But Toni is a Bayern player and Pandev is a Lazio player and none of these players are free agents or are easy to sign. "Hence, I leave the decision to the club. "If they are able to sign one that would be good, otherwise, we will stick with what we have."
