AC Milan have confirmed that midfielder Gennaro Gattuso will not be sold in January.

Beckham and Adiyiah expected to be the only January arrivals

AC Milan vice-executive president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Gennaro Gattuso will not be sold in January. Reports had suggested that the Italy international was a New Year target for Manchester City boss Mark Hughes. But Gattuso's agent told skysports.com that the speculation was false, and Galliani has now assured supporters that the tough-tackling 31-year-old will not leaving the San Siro. "Gattuso will stay. His fan club does not need to worry," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. Galliani has also stated that Milan will not hold contract discussions with Filippo Inzaghi and Dida until 2010. "We will talk in spring. Now there will be no renewals," said Galliani. David Beckham and Dominic Adiyiah will also be the only arrivals at Milan in January, according to Galliani. He said: "I confirm these arrivals and then nothing else. The market is closed."
