Nuno Gomes' agent has claimed the Benfica striker has been contacted by Livorno.
The Portuguese returned to Benfica in 2002 following a two-year spell with Fiorentina.
Gomes' future has been the subject of conjecture and his representative, Marco Piccioli, plans to meet with Benfica to determine their intentions.
"It is true that we did speak with Livorno, but there is nothing concrete," Piccioli told Renascenca.
"Firstly, Nuno Gomes has to define his situation with Benfica.
"The team will commence pre-season training next week and at that time everything will become clarified."
