Defender raises fresh doubts about future

Maicon has admitted he will have to consider his future if Inter Milan do not bolster their squad. The Brazilian threatened to leave the club last week, complaining that he had been treated with 'indifference'. He later stressed that he knew nothing of reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid, although speculation continues to suggest he could be set for a summer transfer. Maicon has now raised more doubts by telling Inter to assemble a side capable of winning the UEFA Champions League or risk losing him. "Inter have to think big," Maicon was quoted as telling reporters at Brazil's Confederations Cup camp in South Africa by La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I want to win the Champions League and this is an important objective for others of us too, because the Champions League is an important trophy for a player's career. "If I can win it with Inter, fine. Otherwise it'll be necessary to consider going elsewhere to try to win it."
