Roma defender Juan has ended doubts about his future by signing a new four-year contract.
The Brazilian, who joined Roma from Bayer Leverkusen in 2007, has been linked with a summer move to Spain.
However, the 30-year-old is now tied to the Serie A club until 2013 after extending his previous deal by two more years.
A club statement read: "Roma and Juan would like to announce that they have agreed to extend the player's contract until June 30, 2013.
"Juan will receive £4.5m for the 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
"He will get £4.6m for 2011-12 and 2012-13 as well as performance-related bonuses."
