Danish starlet Simon Kjaer admits he is looking to seal a move to a UEFA Champions League side if he continues his progression.
The Palermo defender has had an outstanding maiden campaign in Italy after moving to Sicily last summer.
Clubs from England, Spain and rival Serie A clubs are said to be gearing up bids to land the 20-year-old.
He has a clause in his contract which will allow him to leave for £11million, although the player and his agent have indicated that he is more than happy to remain with Palermo for another season.
However, Kjaer admits that he is looking to join a big club in the near future.
"If my development continues then the dream is to join one of the top ten clubs in Europe," he told Politiken.
"At this time, being where I am is a success. At the moment this is a really good step for my career."
Kjaer revealed that his move would also be dictated by concerns about his wife.
"At the same time it is important that there is a short flight home in case I join a club in the Champions League, there will be a new problem as Camilla [his wife] will be alone a lot," he continued.
"Therefore, it would be nice with better flight connections so she can travel home to Denmark when I am playing with my new club or with the national team."
